The electrons in a carbon atom in the human brain are connected to the subatomic particles that comprise every salmon that swims, every heart that beats, and every star that shimmers in the sky.

This is taken from the essay on the previous page. I find that though this is taken from a scientific essay, its an incredibly beautiful and romantic thought. It creates this peotic thought that even though physical "distance" seperates us, we are still connected. But not just connected but this incredibly deep and fundamental togetherness. It's a comforting feeling, knowing that there is a tread that is directly and constantly attached to the people we love.
